Jon MacPhee
Senior Communications and Strategy Adviser
Jon is a communications and strategy specialist with experience across international organisations, government programmes, and the media sector.
He holds an MA in International Journalism and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde. Jon began his career in broadcasting with the BBC before moving into strategic communications roles supporting publicly funded initiatives and international missions. He has worked as a specialist contractor on projects associated with organisations such as the EU, OSCE, NATO, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), with particular experience in conflict-affected and politically sensitive environments.
At ALBA, Jon supports the organisation’s expanding engagement with international institutions across Asia and the Middle East. He advises on communications strategy, institutional outreach, and the positioning of ALBA’s services for international organisations, development programmes, and policy-focused institutions.
His work focuses on developing clear and effective communication strategies for complex programmes, helping publicly funded bodies, research institutions, and private clients communicate policy, research, and programme outcomes to international audiences.
